Volcker Rule looks more like hype than future law
The much-hyped Volcker Rule proposal is failing fast in the US Congress.

Paul Volcker probably isn't that surprised. The former Federal Reserve chairman joked he was "just a photo op", even after President Barack Obama's public embrace of his proposal to limit bank proprietary trading. The problem is that legislators are no longer interested in sweeping reform

    Obama is so owned.

No need to reform anything...after all it's a "free market" run by "savvy businessmen" and we shouldn't "begrudge" their bonuses...

I'm no longer waiting for "reform." Just waiting for the system to collapse under the weight of the greed and fraud that now permeates it. Maybe at that point people will be willing to see things for what they really are since the depth of the crisis has yet to really hit home because the MSM is telling everyone that rainbows are just around the corner while the government is in bed with the oligarchs and is doing anything in its power to keep them from losing one red cent. My only worry is that somewhere, somehow that this will all lead to military confrontation somewhere down the road. With America's 700+ military bases around the world, it will be very difficult for us not to say that any local incident is not a violation of our national sovereignty. Anyhow, it will all end in tears as these things usually do. Hopefully, people will actually wise up after all of it and move on with something different and a little more equitable.
