Re: Gold just moved to a record high !!
Lot's of gold friendly people in Europe... could kick off some buying... most people in the US are ignorant about gold's historical role.
Finster claims that gold hasn't gone up, just the currency has going down. No, when the dollar loses 30% gold goes up 300% ... it's a 10 to 1 ratio.

Re: Gold just moved to a record high !!
When I read headline "Gold just moved to a record high". I was
surprised..then opening the thread it says in Euro.
I remember in 2000 when 1$ will fetch you around Euro 1.25, travelling through Amsterdam, buying cognac, watches in the Airport was cheap unlike
in 2005 when it was so expensive than in USA. did not buy even a coffee at the Airport which was way too expensive, something like US $7 or something..
One thing GREAT about USA is Food is still damn cheap here. you can still
buy a pound of whole chicken for less than $1 /lb. In 2006 I was buying chicken for $0.46 per pound in Chicago in Halal stores.
The best deal ever. spice it and grill - very cheap nutrition compared to average salary.

Re: Gold just moved to a record high !!
Grandma and her jam melon pickles outlawed ????
Tell those government fellows that in her kitchenno one touches the food until we say grace with clean hands wearing a shirt.
Penalty for non compliance is a whack on the knuckles with the wooden rolling pin.
Maybe Grandma should go to congress wielding that rolling pin cause Congress could do with a little "respectful compliance in decency" before eating at the table she supplied with love, sweat and good providence.
It seems "The American Dream" can now only be experienced while asleep.
It is approaching Spring - Time for a real good clean of your "House"
