    They do this in Singapore for pieces that don't have the branding on the clothing itself, QC rejects are brought here, have their inside brand labels cut and sold cheaply. I suspect that many are secretly sold by the Chinese factories.

      There is no shortage of clothing in the USA. I used to volunteer for a charity that collected clothing donations. Mountains of clothes were donated. So much that a lot got thrown away. Destroying these clothes seem wasteful yes, but necessary none the less.

      If it were food, that would be another story.
