WHAT HAPPENED: A girl in an internet cafe next to the chicken restaurant (not KFC) called and asked them to deliver an ice-cream. The manager refused as ice-cream is not in the delivery menu. The phone was passed to this scum of the earth, who asked angrily why, as they were just next door. He started swearing at which point the manager hung up. He then went over to the restaurant and it starts.

What "mentality" am I supposed to understand? Fast food and convenience store workers here in the US are robbed, assaulted, and shot by thugs all the time. The only difference that I can see is that male co-workers and patrons in the US would have jumped on the guy and held him until the cops came.

Not likely! My wife was assaulted by a man, while traveling on an Amtrack train between San Diego and San Fransisco. The train was full of passengers; nobody did a thing. The police were waiting, along with the ambulance, at the next stop.

to get executed in china, you have to steal from the the leaders... that includes not paying them part of the bribes you collect, running a racket they can't be part of (eg drug trafficking), or if make them look bad... like if you ship tainted food to the west. they don't give a shit about a creep beating on a woman... that's between him & her.

My Wife's 1 oz 22 Karat Gold neck chain was robbed from her in broad daylight 4 years ago at 8:00 AM working day in Chicago 'L' train during a stop. She shouted/ran after the robber but on lookers stood idle. From where I come from, Men will run to get the robber but again there is no probability of the robber having a gun.

My wife had her purse stolen from off the back of a chair in a crowded restaurant when we visited Chicago. I started chasing the guy before he got out the door and eventually chased him 2 blocks on main streets then down a back alley before losing him. The next time your wife is getting beaten or has her necklace stolen, you need to hope that a Southern redneck is in the vicinity. We don't worry that the perpetrator may have had a tough childhood. We see things a little more black and white...a little more right from wrong. Of course, I'm also one of those guys that will bust people for trying to cut a line (cue for Mega) and have many heated confrontations when asking people to quit cussing in public. It embarasses my wife and kids sometimes, but a civilized society needs to have some order and needs to have someone looking out for the weak and the meek.

Guns are uncommon in China, probably only very senior government officials and the police are allowed to carry guns. The mentality is what you saw in the clip, people only mind their own business and no one does a bad deal unless forced. Obama's last trip to China is practically a waste of time.

I read a bit on this recently, probably North Korean women. Few can afford to pay smugglers to get out of North Korea, so they pay in kind - sell themselves. Sounds crazy, but might be the better choice given that the other alternative is to starve to death.
