[QUOTE=GRG55;153457]What else didn't it have? [QUOTE]

Exact same truck, nothing different except the windows = 2000 dollars.
Ford, Toyota, Nissan, it was the same at every dealer.
Electric windows add 2000 dollar to the price of a four door truck in Thailand.

That fiat sells for 2.1 million baht here in Thailand, or 63 thousand US dollars.

Two grand for push buttons. That's some racket they have going over there in Thailand.

At US $63,000 per copy I doubt Thailand will be a big market for this latest jelly-bean econobox either.

Evidently the gals think it's cute, and $63 k appears the price for the limited edition Abarth "performance" version,...but still that's quite the price for not much car. No wonder everyone is out on the streets protesting over there...try that in America and they'd be rioting here too...

Now that Sergio Marchionne bought Fiat a big stake in Chrysler, I'd wait for the Hemi-engined V8 version of the Fiat 500 before I plunked down any cash...:p

Tesla hopes long car trip ends 'range anxiety'

"Range Anxiety" would appear to have been replaced with anxiety of another sort among Tesla enthusiasts.

The lead underwriter for the IPO was...ta da...Goldman Sachs. Wanna bet GS and the other lead underwriters [Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank] went short on the 30th...

        From Autoguide:
Tesla IPO Comes Back Down To Earth After One Week Of Trading, Outlook Gloomy

        Tuesday July 6 2010

Most of us are probably more comfortable looking at a dyno graph than any sort of financial data, but believe it or not, the AutoGuide staff actually have interests outside of cars, and for some of us, that includes finance.

Tesla has gotten a lot of publicity among the IPO happy tech-crowd – the same one that was responsible for two equity bubbles this decade, but not a lot of love from the car or business community, who are skeptical of a company that has promised the moon but delivered relatively little...

...Aside from the usual Wall St. market manipulation nonsense analysts are taking an increasingly skeptical view of Tesla Motors; the company’s product plans are hazy, the delays constant and the volumes low...
