Yes, I know that Sinclair is running one year late, and he's a strange duck. But he said it would reach $1,650/oz. by January 16th, 2011, and having observed his amazing calls for the beginning - and the end - of the 1970s Bull Market in Gold, I certainly won't bet against him!

Raz, I certainly like what I am seeing, but according to Sinclair's chart, shouldn't we be between $1500 and $1600 gold right now?

You guys ruined a good joke and took the toilet paper remark too seriously. I know the value of toilet paper. I am sitting on a stockpile of it. I don't expect that even if Liz Claman told everyone to buy toilet paper that the price would skyrocket.

Replace it baseball cards. Replace it with mousepads. I don't f'n care, the point about Bubblevision anchors still stands.

Raz, I certainly like what I am seeing, but according to Sinclair's chart, shouldn't we be between $1500 and $1600 gold right now?

He posted this chart in the Fall of 2007 but updated the chart in the Summer/Fall of 2008. I can't find it. I must not have downloaded it so I'll need to find time to search his website.

By this chart he looks extremely accurate pricewise - but timewise almost exactly one year behind.

All in all, not so bad for a projection given over two years ago.

I really only started watching CNBC in 2007, and at least since time that Leisman has been of the opinion that the Fed can do no wrong. He is a total yes-man.
