Re: Copenhagen climate summit: 1,200 limos, 140 private planes and caviar wedges
...The management of Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport are concerned that the large number of additional private charter flights expected in Bali during the UN Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) December 3-15, 2007, will exceed the carrying capacity of apron areas. To meet the added demand for aircraft storage officials are allocating "parking space" at other airports in Indonesia...Clearly climate change conferences are the best thing to happen to these folks since man invented Davos...the only thing missing is Brangelina...
[I think we can now safely declare climate change is in the mania phase. And I am sure that last comment will get lots of iTulipers riled, but just look at the behaviour folks...just look at the behaviour]

Those limo driven types have some good ideas how to pay for the limos and champagne ....
Copenhagen Climate Summit in Disarray after 'Danish Text' Leak
Developing countries react furiously to leaked draft agreement that would hand more power to rich nations, sideline the UN's negotiating role and abandon the Kyoto protocol
by John Vidal in Copenhagen
However, it seeks to hold temperature rises to 2C and mentions the sum of $10bn a year to help poor countries adapt to climate change from 2012-15.

Never Attend a Conference Without One
A police officer opened one of 37 metal cages in a former beer depot in Copenhagen to house protesters arrested during the climate conference. If protesters would be brought to the facility in limos remained unclear.

Another view of this 'depot': clearly it is just a Danish English name for a warehouse.
