Re: Jen Bunning Goes after Bernanke at today's hearing

Love the G. Edward Griffin reference at the end. That must have burnt Bernanke's balls a bit. The last thing the Fed wants is the public reading that book.

Re: Jen Bunning Goes after Bernanke at today's hearing

Jim Bunning was one of the career leaders in hit batsmen.

He should of challenged Bernanke to a three pitch at-bat in front of the capitol building and than just beaned him on the first one.

Whoever said Bunning - Sanders in 2012 has clearly lost their mind.

By 2012, the divide between Democrat and Republican fanatics is going to be even wider. If you want to remain within in the realm of the realistic, think

Rep. Ron Paul ~ Sen. Jim Bunning

Being 78 years old might explain his delivery of this speech.
In other words, despite being in the Senate, he manages to think for himself and care more about the country than about his party's next legislative or electoral victory. They are very few and far between in Washington.

Re: Jen Bunning Goes after Bernanke at today's hearing

I just got directed to a magazine by Lyndon LaRouche. All that I have heard about him in the past has been more or less along the lines "The guy is a Nut Case". However I glanced at the titles of some of his magz and am amazed that he seems to have been lashing out against policies and people who have gotten us where we are today.

Example: June 1985 Lyndon LaRouche "Leading Economist LaRouche Proposes Emergency Action Against US Banking Collapse"

What is the story on Larouche?

Bunning isn't very popular in Kentucky and has received no help from the National Republican establishment with fundraising.
He says he won't run for re-election in 2010. I think what he said to "Bubbles" Bernanke was right on.;)
After watching the video, I sent an email to Bunning, congratulating him on his speech and encouraging him to run in 2010. The more riled up people get about losing jobs, losing homes, and getting robbed by the Financial Elite, the less campaign money will count in elections. Maybe he could win.

I'm also writing my reps and telling them that I wish they were more like Bunning in their views, and come the next election I will be voting for someone who is . . . .

The first few times Bernanke went to The Hill after being appointed Fed Chairman, his voice was like this during the public interviews. Sounded a bit timid and uncertain...particularly since he was being compared with fresh memories of the imperious Greenspan. He got better as he got more comfortable with the role.
