Just saw this. Hmm, what gives?

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 28 (Interfax) - St. Petersburg Governor
Valentina Matviyenko officially confirmed that Sergei Tarasov, the board
chairman of the Russian Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) and a former
Federation Council member representing St. Petersburg, and Russian
Federal Reserve Agency (Rosreserve) chief Boris Yevstratikov
    were killed
in the crash of the Nevsky Express train on the evening of November 27.
"Sergei Borisovich [Tarasov] was killed on the spot, and his body
was found later. In addition, the death of Rosreserve chief Boris
Yevstratikov has also been confirmed," Matviyenko told journalists.
Matviyenko expressed her condolences to Tarasov's and
Yevstratikov's relatives and beloved ones. "This is our common pain and
    common loss," she said.

Most folks are good; a few aren't.

I bet lot of Brits fit the description

There are several people who could be involved in this crime," he said. One of them, he said, is a "stocky-built man of about 40 years old, with red hair."

I think it is actually the other dollar policy.

Russia chopped the ruble/dollar exchange rate from under 29 to almost 30 on Friday.

The consensus in Russia is that it was a wrong place/wrong time deal. There are far too many easier ways to nail a bureaucrat.

In fact I've ridden the train in question - it is a 4.5 hour express between Moscow and St. Petersburg, the fastest in fact.

Thus any bombing of this train was likely to net some high profile casualties.

Railway blast in Russia's Dagestan: officials

MOSCOW (AFP) - An explosion hit a railway in Russia's restive Caucasus region of Dagestan early Monday, just days after an attack that killed 25 people aboard a passenger train in northern Russia.

"A railway was hit by an explosion before a train travelling from Tyumen to (Azerbaijan's capital) Baku passed. The train did not derail, though it dragged the wagons some 150 meters along the damaged rails," a local police official told Russian news agencies.

remember when they used to blow up apt. buildings?
The Russian apartment bombings were a series of explosions that hit four apartment blocks in the Russia in September 1999, killing nearly 300 people and spreading a wave of fear across the country. The bombings were blamed by the Russian government on rebels from the North Caucasus.

Putin is the richest man in world.

Russian culture is not capable of creating a democratic society.

Once Russia gets completly destroyed then it will swing back to some form of communism.

                Re: Russia train crash

Here in Poland they said yesterday that the attack is linked to a neo-nazi group active in Russia and ALSO in Poland.

These boys/men apparently also like to mix it up at the football matches !!!!!

Right .... A group who's faces can be seen on any football match TV broadcast decided to blow up a train in Russia. I would give them 5 sec. to survive before Russians would be all over them. That make zero sense.

This is all way too weird.

                  More moronic statements.

Even if the Guardian's idiot Russian analyst (another of a long line of idiot Brit analysts on Russia including Churchill) is correct - $40B would be 4th in the world.

As a political leader, however, $40B would be much lower.

The various Arab oil producing nations as well as other oil producing nations like Brunei would populate the top of the list.

Once Mullet Man starts using his brain perhaps some statements worth consideration will come forth.
