Re: Global Warming Scam Uncovered by Hacker
You mean this Gavin?:
I also like how Mr. Schmidt was able to say - categorically -

Given that the emails had been available for less than 1 day at the time.
I guess he must be a world record speed reader to have gone through all 61 Megabytes (compressed) and 150+ megabytes (uncompressed) in that time.
Or maybe he's just a mouth for the AGW cardinalia.

Anyway, I wanted you guys to know that you're free to use RC [RealClimate for which both Mann and Gavin Schmidt are 'disinterested scientists'] in any way you think would be helpful. Gavin and I are going to be careful about what comments we screen through, and we'll be very careful to answer any questions that come up to any extent we can. On the other hand, you might want to visit the thread and post replies yourself. We can hold comments up in the queue and contact you about whether or not you think they should be screened through or not, and if so, any comments you'd like us to include.

Gavin Schmidt, a research scientist with NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, says the e-mails offer no damning indictment of climate researchers, and that bloggers are reading information in them out of context.
“There’s nothing in the e-mails that shows that global warming is a hoax,” he told Threat Level. “There’s no funding by nefarious groups. There’s no politics in any of these things; nobody from the [United Nations] telling people what to do. There’s nothing hidden, no manipulation.
