      I suspect ONLY other CB intervention is keeping the £ from a crash.

          I wonder if sterling collapses fast enough and far out in front enough of other currency debasements there might be some real estate opportunities there. Seriously.

            As the pound has dropped, I have been raiding the Empire of its true treasure: antiquarian books.

            Got an excellent 1870 copy at ebay.co.uk of a George Eliot novel for one quid!

            Since paperbacks are going to be available as ebooks, most paperbacks should just be given away ASAP. In 20 years, what will remain in paper will be the antiquarian ones.
