As you say, all is quiet on the western front. :rolleyes:

In fact, we use slow traffic as a sign of rising market complacency and risk that figures into our "time to short" calls.

Just for a Joe Six-pack type of dumb remark: I like NBC the best for several really dumb reasons: CNBC, MSNBC, The Rachel Maddow Show, the Keith Oberman Count-down Show, General Electric which owns NBC, and of course, the NBC "brought to you in living-colour" peacock..... NBC has always been part of America, and it always will be the best part of America to me.

And yes, I do NOT always agree with Rachel Maddow or all of the commentary on NBC, but all of the commentary is interesting. Even Larry Kudlow on CNBC has interesting and provacative remarks, although he is a supply-side Republican and I don't always agree with him.

Over all, the best TV in America is still on NBC.;)

Conspiracy thinking is not only illogical, but it is a shallow psychological justification for inaction.

Great quote but it also misses another key aspect that I have noticed about conspiracy nuts. Before they go through the reasoning the article lays out, these people WANT to believe conspiracy theories. It fits a VOID and fills it in their mental perception of the world.

Conspiracy thinking engenders a negative psychology of paranoia and symbolic thinking instead of directing the user toward a realism

They already are paranoid and think symbolically, the conspiracy junk just reinforces their perceptions.

I think we are referring to 2 different types of conspiracies, I am referring to the crazies, the ones that believe in illuminatis, aliens, moon hoaxes and others along that line.

The article you pointed out refers to conspiracies defined like this

"A civil conspiracy or collusion is an agreement between two or more parties to deprive a third party of legal rights or deceive a third party to obtain an illegal objective" with examples of racketeering, frauds, price fixing, and the such.
