Wrong company. Wal-Mart has no shame in pushing its working employees onto the public dole (something about 28 hours a week considered full time for their floor workers, never mind legal definitions).

More like Geriatric Motors gets its final bailout.

As I say, we have nothing to fear, but fear itself.
      Chris,

I just discovered a quote at longtail.com that might interest you. One of the posters, Emory Anderson, wrote, "There's a whole aspect of the 'Long Tail' that I haven't seen you mention, which is no surprise because it's in its infancy.

But here in London I'm starting to see the very beginnings of a form of 'Long Tail Capitalism' (as I call it), wherein small amounts of capital by regular individuals are converted into working capital for other small ventures........(As for me, I used to do physics but now do risk management)".

        K, ?

Thanks for that. In fact I am trying to get the idea of a conference on this subject off the ground and might have some more news later this week. Might, being the operative word.

        Chris.

What a great example of Government setting priorities and building infrastructure. I'm genuinely grateful they did that -still working and making our lives better 30 years later. Actually, much of the hidden subway infrastructure (control system relays, track circuits) are even older and expected to still be working after 100 years. Our grandfathers we not stupid people (they passed the the Glass–Steagall Act also).
