    Re: Heads Up !............Latvia collaspe!

Coincidentally I posted an article Sunday on the top countries at risk of sovereign debt default. It mentioned the top 3 at risk but not Latvia: http://www.itulip.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12303

After your posting I was curious where Latvia lay. Just beneath the top 3 it turns out, but with a far less risk of default within 5 years than the top 3.

      You're faster than me.
Ambrose Evans-Pritchard does it again ! I hope he'll be wrong but every piece of evidence say that he is right. In my opinion, he is one of the best commentators today and absolutely nothing get past him. I'd love to know how he does it.

That being said, should anyone be short SEK because of that ?

"should anyone be short SEK because of that ?"

The SEK hardly moved today, even the Swedish banks rebounded after an initial selloff to end down only 1 - 2%. This "rumour" was largely played out last winter and the markets believe it is already factored in I believe, the only thing that will produce a new selloff will be when Latvia actually does default or devalue, or possibly if Swedbank has to be rescued even without that (quite likely).

Also very interesting article about Estonia's "Debt Deflation Labratory"

"Margaret Thatcher's Baltic Model" - Sounds like Reaganomics, Ann Rand visits Europe. LOL.
