  • COT (smart money) question

    Hi,
I'm new here but lurked for a few days. This is the best investing forum that I was able to find.
I'm also bearish especially after reading "The Oil Factor" and "America's Financial Apocalypse." My sentiment was always toward international investing and I recently transferred my few remaining domestic stocks toward cash, foreign currencies, commodities, PM, and international bonds. My concern is with the Commitments of Traders (COT) that is considered as smart money. I'm being told that COT is becoming long on US stock and short on commodities/PM.
It would be hard to swim against the current, right?
Anyone with good info on current smart money/dumb money allocation?
I tried http://www.cftc.gov/cftc/cftccotreports.htm but not sure how to interpret the numbers.
    Thanks a lot!

    take a look at www.buythebottom.com
there are links to charts of the cot numbers and, better yet, to james west's blog explaining the charts.
