    "Our Business is Caring"

Which is why we as an industry droped a $100 million money bomb into Washington D.C. this year to stop Obama's anti "free market" policies as a public service to average Americans.

Now back down to my beach house after a job well done....see ya!

Healthcare is not a right. It is a personal responsibility!

    Or, how about:
Payment of premiums doesn't guarantee coverage, so quit whining. ;)

    Ooh, ooh. Or how about:
Let's have the free market solve the problem.:p

Give me a break. Just another set of leeches from the FIRE economy (it is insurance after all).

My health insurance is chosen by people so rich they don't need it. I work for a major US corporation.

If we're to ever get real competition in this industry the tax code needs to change. My insurance isn't all that bad, but if I didn't like it I'd have to give up my tax advantaged plan and use after tax money to buy something else. That's just plain wrong. Unfortunately Obama seems to have totally missed that portion of the problem, so the tax code seems unlikely to be part of the "reform".

I doubt that it is a matter of whether or not he "missed" that portion of the problem.

Too many vested interests and individual biases have grown around the current tax status of medical coverage. It would be much more expensive politically to change this than Obama can afford.

Why is it that so many American's (especially Rebublicans) have no problem with "the government" running a 100% socialist military, department of defence, pentagon, terroist security out the ying yang, CIA, FBI, DEA, airport security, toilet security, Presidential Library Security Force, War Against Drugs, War on Terror, Don't Tazer Me Bro Police Force Terrorist Training, blah, blah, blah to keep us "safe" from ?

          - that is TRILLIONS OF DOLLAR blown out the door each year to who knows what waste.

But letting our children, friends, and nieghbors DIE on a daily basis because we cannot spend a few billion on health care is sooo un-patriotic to many of these same people?

fools? brain disease? lead in the water? global brain warming? what is the problem here?

Anyone have a link as to the amount we spend per American death: terrorist attack vs. lack of health insurance?

and I'll let you play Glenn Beck and assume we prevented 100 9/11 attacks - 2,993 X 100 = 299,300 deaths by terrorist and the numbers will still make you anti health care folks look nuts!

If I put on my Republican hat, still warm on my shelf from my past life, I could reverse this and ask something obnoxious such as what it is about Democrats who have no problem killing the innocent unborn, but would not defend our nation from the radicals who killed 3000 of us a few years back.

However that would be fighting devisive propaganda with devisive propaganda, which serves neither of us well.

More honestly, it is a challenge at times to properly orient our personal moral compass to such matters of public concern. All sides with vested interests are eager to further their own ends with whatever they can discover which will energize some big portion of the populace, using all manner of deceit, propaganda, distortion and lies to that end.
