  • Finally, some real debate on the issue of health care...

The NYT has run a story about some on the right who are serious about debating the real issues of health care. Finally, some folks who are open to a real discussion on the topic. This is exactly what I've been going on about here for quite awhile. We don't need to regurgitate the typical ideological garbage fed to us from the talking heads on Fox News (right wing nut jobs) or MSNBC (tree hugger lefties). Whatever happened to balanced news reporting?

    Anyhow, here is the link...

Historically, MSNBC are not "tree hugger lefties" they are fairly main stream, it is just the Fox News and Republicans that have re-programed your brain to think that way.

Now if you are thinking in relative terms, then yes, normal people are far, far, far, far left of American's Republican / Fox News nut-jobs.

But I am glad see many brain-washed Republicans trying to escape their brain washing and realize the health care is not capitalist, and most of our institutions are no longer capitalist, and what the Fox News crowd calls "socialism" is actually a step in the correct direction from where we are now.

Better take the step, while you can get it before Jeb Bush gets in.

This is an article about the right recalibrating their approach to stop the Administration from including a public option in the health care bill. Since the Karl Rove approach isn't working, one would expect a change before Congress is back in session. What better place to announce that change than the NYT.

The left is winning this battle because they've successfully characterized the bill as "health insurance reform". Most Americans think health insurance needs reforming so they like the idea. If the right is to make headway they will have to reshape the debate.
