  • Zerohedge on H1N1: vacinations and detiontions?

Okay, anyone care to comment? (as in WTFO?)

"Here at ZeroHedge, we are expecting a flock of economic black swans soon, and a pandemic -- whether real or hyped -- may be part of this flock. An economic collapse will be no doubt be triggered soon , and it will be convenient for the political elites to blame the collapse on an external factor, such as a pandemic or a war. Furthermore, the fall H1N1 pandemic may be a convenient pretext by which dangerous levels of expanding social control can be established by elites which have proven themselves utterly corrupt and morally bankrupt."

Sounds highly speculative to say the least.... Out of all the things I'd worry about Swine Flu is probably the least of them IMO.

ZH is all over the place but even I wouldn't compare them to prisonplanet. I see them as a rumour monger site run by some financially educated people, not just a straight up conspiracy paranoia site.

My wife and kids just got over a bout of H1N1. Only my wife took some Tamiflu, but they all drank lots of liquid, slept alot, all better in about 3-4 days. It's just another flu but very contagious. Somehow I avoided it though

Yeah, some of the analysis is good. He gets a little dogmatic at times, though, and that sucks.

I like Marla Singer. He/She rocks.

I really miss Brad Setser. What a huge blow to the finance / blogging world.

This is some scary stuff - not because of the vaccine stories per se but if you read the comments on the zero hedge blog and else where, some of these people are practically foaming at the mouth talking guns revolution etc.., I recieved a mail on this story from a friend in senior management in a multinational out of the blue and he too was taking this seriously, he is not normally the one for "conspiracies" to say the least, people are being whipped into a frenzy and that if it takes hold on a wider basis, is nearly as scary as if the vaccine story were true.

So your theory is that they are smart except for those rare occasions when they lose their minds? Generally when someone repeatedly says things to me that sound reasonable and insightful, but occasionally bizarre and out of left field, I try to re-evaluate my positions. It could be that the problem is not them, but me.

The public is receptive to these ideas because we have been lied to so often and so monumentally. Why is it that the thought of the government poisoning babies with vaccines trips so easily though so many peoples heads? Ask a few of your friends, this idea is au courant

As far as the detention goes, it is not a conspiracy theory, but a commonplace medical fact of life. TB patients are routinely (if unconstitutionally ) detained for treatment in many cities.

I'm going to re-iterate my idea from another thread that the swine flu "crisis" has been dreamed up as a method of clamping down on public protests against austerity measures and to prevent capital flight. The big danger in a full on economic bomb would be not just capital flight, but actual people flight, a "brain drain". The plan looks to me to be to setup martial law and prevent people from traveling.

I remember 3 years ago documents came to light where the clergy has been trained to assist in mass vaccinations and relocations

                          May 24 2006

Pastor Revere outlined the plan to carry out mass vaccination and enforced drugging programs in times of crisis such as a bird flu outbreak.

"In the event of an outbreak or a bio-terrorist attack, there'd be a mass vaccination....they have a program nationwide 'Pills in People's Palm In 48 Hours'," said the Pastor who was told that Walmart had been designated as the central outlet of this procedure.

The swine flu pandemic can only be fake if the WHO changed it's definition
                          of a pandemic

                          Interview with Epidemiologist Tom Jefferson

                          ...

SPIEGEL: Do you think the WHO declared a pandemic prematurely?

Jefferson: Don't you think there's something noteworthy about the fact that the WHO has changed its definition of pandemic? The old definition was a new virus, which went around quickly, for which you didn't have immunity, and which created a high morbidity and mortality rate. Now the last two have been dropped, and that's how swine flu has been categorized as a pandemic.

So does that mean the some mnior new variant of the common cold is a pandemic? All that matters is that it spread to several countries, not that it presents a serious mortality risk.

What concerns ZH makes sense to me ... a flock of black swans. I think he has nailed it.

It seems clear to me from listening to the likes of Peter Peterson, Zbigniew Brzezinski, David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, ... that they think that Americans need to learn some things, to fit in better with the global economy and to scale back their excess debt and consumption. There are too many people in their view, acting too foolishly, accumulating too much debt, contributing too little and consuming too much.

As Milton Friedman said (see an earlier post of mine at http://www.itulip.com/forums/showpos...8&postcount=55 for a vague reference):

Only a crisis, actual or perceived, produces real change.
Many of us on this forum find something to worry about in the near future. Certainly even yourself, jtabeb, is not entirely optimistic.

But most of us will tend to discredit another observer who alarms over something we consider foolish, or fails to alarm over something we consider serious.

So rather than a single dramatic false flag or fraudlently reported operation, as I understand the Reichstag Fire, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, Saddam's Weapons of Mass Destruction, 9/11 in the U.S. or 7/7 in London likely to have been, instead we may see a flock of black swans, such that most of us will worry about some and dismiss others as tin-foil-hat nonsense, in the process dismissing the credibility of any other observer who doesn't alarm on the same set of concerns we alarm on.

Only a few very twisted cows will alarm on almost all of it, allowing all the more sane observers to join in dismissing such twisted souls, encouraging them to leave more "sensible" forums and tune into Alex Jones where they might fit better.

Study "thermite in the twin towers" and the Economic Hitman (John Perkins) to get a sense of how the people we are dealing with operate when they conclude they need to produce some "real change" in a country.

I expect to see renewed concerns with global warming, the medical care problem, swine flu, another stock market crash, more major bank failures, rising unemployment, rising urban civil unrest and likely one more event, more dramatic, such as Israel bombing Iran.

P.S. They will also inject some noise, some easily falsifiable alarms and idiotic allegations, to trip up places such as globalresearch.ca (where ZeroHedge linked at the end of his post) and Alex Jones and Jim Willie, those who are foolish enough to alarm too easily.
