    Those companies began, and took to heights never imagined, the crooked (and technically "illegal", but somehow "overlooked by regulators") accounting of stock options.

    I forget specifics, but do remember that Ballmer also found ways to make sure all MS options vested in the money.

    After the antitrust "loss", MS started a pretty huge lobbying arm. Why do you think that eventually, MS paid next to zero penalty in the US.

    And continues, undeterred, its illegal shenanigans, this time strong-arming manufacturers (denying them windows licenses) if the manufacturer pushes Linux.
