  • Farmland the next Bubble?

Imagine that, farmland is becoming a target of the reflation trade. Who would've thunk it?
I sure wish I could get some of that 0.25% Fed money to go buy up the farmland.

    Recall Jefferson's observation -
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation then by deflation, the banks and the corporations will grow up around them, will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
Aug. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Farmland values and credit conditions are improving as investors show interest in rural properties, the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank said.

Farm sales, for which farmers remain the largest pool of buyers, are beginning to attract investors, the survey said.
“While the supply of farms for sale remained limited, renewed interest from non-farm investors, along with robust farmer demand, helped support farmland values,” the bank said.

Sounds like a description of locusts. Why not f-up the food supply while we take out the banking, energy, and insurance industry?
