Re: Silver ETF potential scandal
I had read that post on zerohedge along with the referenced pdf.
I don't have any idea whether or not the methodolgy the authors of the pdf used is valid, but were it to be, it seems there is some real danger in holding the silver ETF's.Jim 69 y/o

Re: Silver ETF potential scandal
One of the comments on the page says that just having the same manufacturer and the same serial isn't necessarily indication of a dupe, because the year may be physically stamped on the bar.
The "perfect internal duplicates" and "rough internal duplicates" are much more questionable, but I got the impression that there weren't that many of them.

Re: Silver ETF potential scandal
If one were running a multibilliondollar hedge fund, I can understand investing in the ETF. But if you are an individual investor, why would you buy an ETF when you can buy physical? Yes storing silver physically is harder than storing gold, but it is do-able. Buying ETFs whether for gold or silver never made sense to me.
