Ready made poor boy sandwiches from a supermarket chain in my City going for 2.50 down from 3.50 a year ago. They kinda suck though...

In the U.S. of A., good pizza doesn't exist outside of Chicago, New York and parts of New England. And I'm not talking about our local versions of the national and regional chains. It's the Italians, to a lesser extent the Greeks and no one else. I've had slices in California, all through the Southwest, Texas, Missouri and up and down the East Coast - most of them were memorably bad.
Have to agree only we do occasionally get a transplanted New Yorker who makes some good Pizza. Some of the best pizza I've ever had was from a little pizza shop in a small town in North Ga call Dahlonega.

        That's still good eats.

Chicago deep dish is great. Nothing like NY slice. Both are great in their own way. I agree, I've had pizza in states you would not consider pizza hotbeds, and they aren't.

In the last week gasoline prices turned back up again here in Massachusetts. Prices were down to the area of $2.35-$2.37 at some stations when I filled up at the end of last week and yesterday I couldn't find anything under $2.45.

Remember when a lone trader was blamed for oil spiking to $70 a couple of weeks ago. Well we're almost there again. Who is too blame this time?

I hope no one took my comments on pizza too personally. These are pizza facts.

I suppose the deflation minded will argue that pizza prices lag unemployment.

NY style pizza is the best. I hate the Chicago deep dish pizza. It is a greasy/cheesy mess. One slice and the volume of cheese and grease makes me sick to my stomach. Just watching it come out makes me want to puke.

I'll take this man's high qality pizza on thin crust any day over Chicago pizza crap.
