  • USA Student : How to pay it off ?

Just watch all the poor students suffering with $40k of student loans.

How to solve you debt issue.

    1) Graduate, pass and finish.
    2) Hopefully in a demand job like HEALTH, not finance.
    3) The day after graduation leave the country, and go to a country with a currency at least 2x the USD, by the time you get out that will countries like EUR, RUS, IRAQ, IRAN, SAMOA.
    4) If (3) fails, head to the GOLD mines.

OR stop signing up to expensive USA colleges. Jump on a plane to countries where education is a lower dollar denomination, but of the same quality.

    NZ, AUS, SAFR.

After all for years, students of other countries have been doing this for years.

Great advice. My son is staying in-state and going with a lottery scholarship. A state school in a neighboring state actually offered to loan him $35k a YEAR to attend. Gee thanks. $140k for under-graduate degree? From a state school? Unbelievable.

This is how I did it.

      -Go to an in-state university
      -Live at home (rent free)
-Get a job during the school year
-Get 2 jobs during the summer
      -Graduate debt free

The only thing my folks were able to help me with was books for one semester...... and living at home.

How I got a nearly free education

Graduated from high school in 1974.
Two weeks later I started a FREE 2.5 year electronics/computer course at the St. Paul Technical school in MN, funded by the city.
All I paid for was books.
Don’t know if that program is still available (tuition costs kicked in for those over 21).
        The education has been invaluable.
I can’t imagine having to pay for a 4 year college education when there are affordable alternatives.

Know what you're getting into. Even if it pays well, you may not want to get into it.

health care industry trends for the next 40 years:
            geriatrics
            cost cutting
            geriatrics
impoverished boomers (who never saw the impoverishment coming) seeking geriatric care
            cost cutting

get a full time job at a university and go to school for free. Worse case scenario some schools only give 75% off.
