It is too bad Mr. Beck did not have the information that the Bank of Canada Governor was also from Goldman Sachs and was granted unprecedented secretive powers last summer, by our Finance Minister.

We'll see where this goes from here. It's interesting that this is slowly bubbling up into the mainstream. This might get some traction.

People were more or less expecting Bush to cater to big business, but the Democrats have cultivated the idea that they are pro-little guy. Although the politicians at the top have been bought and paid for, their supporters haven't. If this gets traction, the Democrat base will be incensed.

Another difference between the Democrats and Republicans is that the Republicans tend to stand behind their leadership, do or die, whereas the Democrats shoot their own wounded. If they come to realize that Obama is beholding to the same big money people that Bush was, a mighty uproar could ensue.

Fox news is perceived by many to be a tool of the political right. The key will be to see if the political left picks up and runs with the story, too. Then you'd see one of those amazing times when the political left and political righ unites in fighting the status quo, and there could be a chance for real change.

Then again, we could see an opportunity here for renewal and a third party to arise. Hopefully, as the economy continues to screech along the side of the iceberg, the third party won't be the National Socialist American Workers Party! :eek:

Forget the new party talk. In my opinion, we need to concentrate on two issues...

1] Term limits. Entrenched politicians do us no good. If it makes sense for the President, it should make sense for every elective office.

2] Presidential line item veto. Too much pork and too many bad laws get attached to legitimate legislation.

We get these two issues enacted and many of our problems with bad governing disappear in my opinion.

I just sent "I'm outraged" letters to my representatives.

I just saw the FoxNews Glenn Beck on Goldman Sachs . . . .
This, along with the now-famous Rolling Stone article on Goldman Sachs, has me boiling.

All I can say is . . . if Goldman Sachs exists when you come up for election, you've lost my vote . . . unless I see that you have made a very strong attempt to get rid of them.
