        Could it be that they can be built on top of existing roads? Certainly, costs do not appear to be one of the main advantage for this type of transportation(Re: Vegas).

        In Toronto, a project to link Pearson Airport to downdown Toronto is incredibly complex because there is "stuff" in the way; nothing major you know, houses, businesses, industries... :rolleyes: Discussions have been ongoing for more than 30 years on this project.

          yeah but heavy rail can be elevated too. Just go to parts of NYC or Chicago. Do they have imminent domain in Toronto? Tell them to give people on the route a buck for their troubles and take it over. Its the American way.
