    The longer this recession goes on, the worse things will get and I don't see any real change on the horizon, at least not for working class folks.

    They are just going to keep extending benefits as deficits, to this point, don't matter. There is no other choice. You cannot put these people on the street without expecting civil unrest.


    But then again, I assumed that the FED would already be offering 2 percent recourse loans on SFR's by now.

      They will then enter the BLS twilight zone of discouraged workers, those no longer counted because they "have stopped looking for work".

      I wonder if the unemployment benefits extensions change this designation? Based on their never let an opportunity to cook the books pass them by, they're most likely creating a special statistical category as we speak :p
