  • CLICHES?

EJ, I presume, is the AntiSpin 'doctor.' Today he wrote in response to the Daily News:

The Fed will not risk a face plant for the U.S. economy.
Is this a cliche or a typo? Or does it mean somethng of which I have never been aware?

Well, EJ, it is great that you have moved iTulip to new and I presume more powerful servers. I noticed a new little icon on my browser tab. What it represents, I have no idea. Please tell us of its significance. I would say it is a window with one pane broken, but I doubt that is what it is.

I feel I have noticed a severe drop-off in contributions to the fora. What is the matter? Are all questions answered? Are all bets placed on the right horses? Is no one worried?

I personally think it would be nice if Mr. Serrapere would respond to the issues of accuracy that were raised in the 'Peak Risk' forum. He made a response to a quesiton I had asked, but did not offer correction of what were some errors in his original contribution.

Hi, Jim. A "face plant" is what happens, for example, when you're snow boarding and turn around too fast and go from, say, 30 MPH to zero in a few feet using your face as your primary means of slowing because you don't have time to put your arms out.

As we make the necessary platform changes in the background, we didn't expect to be able to post any new stuff until June 5 but have been able to squeeze a few in anyway. The new platform will not produce immediately obvious results on the surface but will support an array of ambitious plans for future features over the next few months. One of those improvements, coming next week, is a new forum to replace this one. Among it current forum's more irritating problems is that occasionally throws away excellent posts, including, as John reported to me, a lengthy response to your questions. We'll post them for you next week.

    Thanks.

    Eric

      Good, EJ.

So what does the icon symbolize? Is that another 'secret' that will unfold in due tijme?

I think we'll see a quarter point raise. Especially with gas prices going up.

Stagflation is far far worse than a recession.

I believe the new iTulip icon is a set of windows in a Dutch home at the time of the tulip mania. A pane was broken for someone to reach through and steal a tulip bulb.

          That has to be it.

              Jim, Blaze, etc.

Please, please, use the Message Tags to add the start URL and end URL tags around your links (see the Message Tags link to the left of the reply window for details). It is awesome that you provide links, but this old forum doesn't allow copy/paste so if you don't use the tags someone has to retype the whole URL in order to use it.

You can even use the tags to do things like add [blue]COLOR[/blue].

I generally use Foxfire to access iTulip. I can copy an URL just like your words, and paste them. No problemo.
