  • Stock market is fictitious, illiquid, and manipulated?

That's what this guy said on Bloomberg. (He doesn't say Goldman Sachs, but it seems to be implied.) Skip ahead to the 3:30 mark to get to the 'meat'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0U1v...layer_embedded

Would anyone here make an argument that what he is saying is not correct?

    Manipulation:
Now hear it from a trader on the floor. Listen to this clip - 6 minutes, if you're not interested in the whole thing slide in to about 2:00 in.
"This market continues to be propped up by government intervention and manipulation."

Hope this hasn't been posted before.... pls delete if so:

And even today a brazen manipulation!

"The NYSE...said it would provide another 15 minutes" of trading "in order to settle customer transactions that were affected by systemic irregularities,"

Seems to me they are causing irregularities - electronic trading can not adjust to a change like this with only a few minutes warning. What, did GS need more time to get more shorts in place before a market dump next week?

Sorry about the redundancy. I miss some news items on iTulip due to my work schedule.
