Seems about right, though I don't know about the COMEX bit.

He's got a decent record and I still read him, though I don't like his writing style much. He's a nice source of ideas.

What is this guy trying to say?

That gold is held artificially low and that PM futures are about to fail as well?

I rather enjoy Jim Willie's writing style. With all due respect to EJ, some thoughts are difficult to speak while wearing a good suit and tie .

Jim warned before the December options expiration of impending COMEX gold options collapse, somewhat as he is doing this time around. Perhaps he's jumping the gun again. Jim reliably sees the "buy gold, buy more gold, buy now" side of things, so this article is consistent with his long term bias. There was some creaking and groaning at the time options expired in December, but nothing really big blew up. Shortly after that expiration, COMEX added some of the weasel worded escape clauses to its terms to impede others from taking physical delivery of gold. [P.S. - perhaps it was the March expiration, not the December, or perhaps it was both. My memory is unsure.]

Personally, my money says that we have another sharp downdraft in the major stock exchanges first, in a Fed/Treasury/JPMorgan/Goldman drive to strengthen the dollar and Treasuries again. That downdraft, to my thinking, will be the straw that breaks the camel's back, causing Russia and China and such others as join along to fire this golden salvo at the Anglo financial mafia.

However there's no denying that I'm taking a risk. If one were watching James Bond and some Russian or Chinese evil doer fight it out with bazookas and grenades in a fireworks factory, one might guess when the factory would blow, by subtracting about 4 minutes from the runtime of the movie. But this is the premier showing of this movie, and no one knows its runtime ... yet.

Heck ... at least this whole shebang is providing some of the best entertainment I've seen in years ;):eek:.

Yes, Jim has been saying that gold has been manipulated too low for many years now by the folks at Goldman and JPMorgan. He's saying they naked short sell to repeatedly cram the price down. He's saying that some folks, such as the Chinese and Russians are getting mighty tired of this, and are arranging their affairs so that they can call alot of COMEX gold for actual physical delivery at this coming expiration date, thereby blowing the cover on this scam. PM futures would blow up big time. More financial pyrotechnics would follow, very rapidly.

Jim only briefly mentions the Arabs in this public posting. In his subscription newsletter, he describes in greater lengths possible arrangements between the Chinese, the Russians and the Arabs.

What would happen to CEF and GLD in this scenario? CEF survives while GLD goes kaput? Or they both get hammered to oblivion?
