Re: Dubai gold center
When I was in Silicon Valley, if we saw a company put up a new fancy headquarters, we figured they were at risk for a downsizing. Dubai has already seen this over the last year, as an absolutely awesome amount of new construction to world class standards has gone half finished and unused. I can't help but wonder if this building is a sign of a pending decline in the gold market. Most folks are good; a few aren't.

The failure has just not yet been realized, while the system remains confident that it is still alive." Jesse

P.S. -- the fancy new corporate headquarters building was not always a sign of imminent doom. For example, Google has survived ok after taking its nice headquarters building in Mountain View a few years ago. Most folks are good; a few aren't.
