  • Help:- Mega Uriamum

Already have Cameco, but am thinking about Mega as a "Hail Mary"......does anyone have a share price chart for the last 3 years or so?

    (Trade MGA in Canada).

Mike: You can access information on any Canadian listed stock through the TSX [Toronto Stock Exchange] site. There's a charting function that you can call up [second tab from the left, at top].

Click here for the Mega Uranium info.

          Re: Help:- Mega Uriamum

IMO Mega Uranium is a much better long term hold of a stock than Cameco. Cameco is a large cap in uranium, but that said, it is a seriously flawed stock to hold for the next couple of years, and maybe longer. Mega Uranium is insanely undervalued to it's resources, but it is a small cap, and you need to keep a strict position size limit. At these prices? It is a notable buy - but these smallcap uraniums absolutely must not be owned singly - that is crazy risk. You need to own a dozen of them to be even minimally diversified.

Hence if you buy one or two you are not doing it right. Risk is way to high. Best way is to either get really into building a uranium juniors portfolio, or doing the sensible thing and owning all the uranium miners through a fund or etf. But all those considerations aside, Mega Uranium is a real little thoroughbred of a uranium stock. Don't buy it alone as a feather in the cap sort of investment. That's not serious. Decide whether you want some exposure to uranium miners, and then get an ETF or fund. My two cents.

Bet it was Euro Pac that got you into Cameco. Those guys are a bit clueless about that entire sector IMO.

Also go to google finance, they have an excellent historical charting feature, depending on the stock, sometimes going back 30 years.

            Also try barchart.com or stockcharts.com

I find "Schiff & co" VERY unhappy about buying a non-div paying stock. I ask if they do ETF's or Funds.
              Thanks Mike

Mike. Different investing styles. Dividend stocks are the traditional conservative model. Reinvesting dividends and slowly building wealth through compound interest

Today we have an anomaly with many commodity providers. They are speculative growth plays for sure but at these prices they can be considered value stocks as well.
A very rare and attractive opportunity.

As far as resource stocks go, some of them like Harvest trust energy HTE, are selling for 7 bucks and their reserves are 1.5-2.0 BOE to one share of stock.
