my 2 cents... if you read itulip for a decade you'll find these kinds of articles are just as important as the hard analysis... they supply the 'feel' for the forecasts... texture... context... etc. how's the world changing? just as important as the charts & graphs. & damn good writing.

How sure are you that you are right and that Dr. Hudson is INCORRECT?

The motivation and desires he ascribes to the powers that be are Frightening (frighteningly accurate, too).

You seem to see incompetence tainted by malfeasance.

He seems to see a criminal attempt by colluding banking and political elites to bring about a neo-feudal serfdom that uses the macabre mask of incompetence to cloak their activities and intentions.


One of you (or both) is wrong.

I find myself having a very hard time discounting Hudson's view and at the same time, I'm finding it harder and harder to accept your version of perennial American exceptionalism (Paraphrasing here "America is not Rome or Russia or Argentina").

I was hoping that you could comment further and expand your ideas because frankly I find myself questioning why Hudson seems to call this "A Spade", while you are unwilling to do so.

Honest question, so please take it as such. (I see ample evidence of "A Spade" is what I'm trying to indelicately say)
