Slow Loading of iTulip Home Page

I've noticed a pretty slow load of the iTulip home page lately. The page will completely display, but then I get a busy curser and my web browser locks up for about 10 seconds or so. It seems like there is some kind of small applet or something else loading into the background of the home page which is slowing it down. I'm on fast work T1, DSL, and cable modem connections.

Maybe others could chime in if they are experiencing the same issue. Could iTulip admin look into this?

We think it's the Amazon applet. Will replace shortly. We have had a couple of outages due to heavier than usual traffic, putting extraordinary stress on our system as shown below.
