  • Time to short ten year treasuries?

Is now a good time to short ten year treasuries?

With the current yield at 3.71% it could decline more but not too much, right? If one believes interest rates are going to increase because of inflation over the next three to five years by a lot, why not short ten year treasuries?

This thesis may not be consistent with what has been presented here; and, if there is a discussion on this topic I would be grateful if I can be pointed in the direction.

I would like to hear the arguments for and against shorting ten year treasuries and how I can make the trade. Futures, ETF, etc.

    Thank you,
    Steve

    for how long?

This guy thinks treasuries will rally hugely when the boomers really start retiring - pretty soon now

I hope he knows Social Security has been buying treasuries by the boatload for 20 years.
