  • What is the Fed going to do if Romney wins?

    Bernanke's appointment runs to Jan 2014, if I recall correctly. Would Romney ask him to step down? Can he ask that,given the supposed independence of the Fed? Would Bernanke accede to such a demand? Or would they agree to a slightly tighter monetary policy and keep Bernanke through to the end of his term?

    Or do you think Romney wants monetary policy to be as loose as Bernanke and his doves at the Fed are planning?

    romney will get the memo.

    there will be no messing with China trade.
    There will be no deficit reduction.
    There will be no messing with FIRE
    We will find another war to get into;
    The man that replaces Bernanke will be the same.
    The economy will get worse.

      Romney already got the memo; that is why he is a candidate of one of the two parties.

      Substitute "nominal" for "no" in the above, and you got it.
