  • How To View A Single Post?

Since the upgrade to the new version of the vBulletin software, I can't for the life of me find the View Single Post feature. This feature was really nice in that it made it easy to print out the one post of interest without printing out all other posts in the thread.

Clicking the post number (e.g., the "#1" link on the right-hand side of the first post of a thread) would show the posting all by itself in a new window (or tab if you're using a tabbed browser).

Has anyone gotten this feature to work with the new software? Is this something the administrators need to enable?

I agree, this was a very useful feature, especially for printing. I spent quite a bit of time trying to find something equivalent with the new software, but didn't find anything.

I too have not seen anyway to view a single post in the current version of vBulletin.

There is an alternative that works quite well (and more generally) for those using the Firefox web browser. Get the extension Nuke Anything Enhanced and then you can (1) highlight what you want to print, (2) make the entire rest of the page vanish for the moment (click on 'remove everything else' on the right click context menu), and (3) print just what you wanted. To bring the entire page back into view, refresh (reload) the page.
Most folks are good; a few aren't.

I use snagit to take screen shots of the good posts/quotes

there probably a free type of screen capture on download.com

Well, I did say that the old version of the software made it easy to print out one single post (pretty much a one-click operation.) Stated differently, I'm lazy and am looking for a way to avoid having to cut and paste into a word processor (and then potentially fix the formatting.)

Thanks tpc, that works quite well.
