  • Who's Got their DOW 14,000 Party Hats?

Looks like today is the day we need to try these babies on. I've still got my DOW 10K party hat and it's strange to think that with the DOW this close to 14K when you take the collapse of Uncle Buck into account even with the DOW's 40% gain, you've barely broken even. Now that us cows have all gotten our investments so protected against inflation would be a good time for the Fed to take the action the other direction. Pretty good moonshot for the Wall Street boyz, we'll see how high they take it I don't think they are close to being done.

I can't imagine comparing the DOW with something of actual worth, like say the cost of a college tuition. Wouldn't shock me if the DOW needed to be at 20K to keep up with the cost of college.

Heh, I'm not sure a college education is worth the rising cost of tuition these days.

Good point, but it still does get them out of the house. That's something that's pretty hard to come up with an actual value.
