Why There Will be no Poom.

Many think there will be hyperinflation, what they fail to understand is that we already had the hyperinflation. What will follow next is the transfer of wealth to the creditors from defaulting borrowers.

In simple terms, let me tell you the psychology behind this game and it goes like this:

Once you win the game, you do not give your chips back to the other players, if you return some of the chips you can continue the game but you already know the outcome, you will win back all those chips again. The game becomes boring, and it is no longer any fun. The only way the game becomes fun again is if you are made to relinquish all your chips and you have to win them over again. Then the game is fun again, against all odds.

There, now you know. Don’t be gullible and think the government will help you; they are there to help themselves. So you better learn to play the game really well if you hope to help your genes survive in the next generation and the ones after that.

With all respect, your commentary does not serve IMO to support the conclusion of your assertion.

And the transfer of wealth has been happening for the last generation - the current transfer is the culmination of making the creditors whole while putting all the debt onto the public (or more precisely the future public).

me and mine, you and yours, everyone and theirs.

If an individual works, saves, and has no debt, he may have amassed wealth without ever being a creditor (e.g., landlord, banker, etc). And I would say this is the one view of the american dream. By working and saving, one can amass enough capital to buy a farm or business and contribute productively and most effectively by using his talents and motivations in the way he wishes vs being a wage slave.

He and his progeny are only debtors to the extent they are made liable for the 'public' debt. This is tyranny plain and simple. Few complain because few understand and many more "think" have a stake in the game.

Wrong, I will explain why later.

Do you know the wage slave is a creditor? Yes, no?

And all that work, saving and wealth is denominated in what exactly? How do you account for it? That' right Dollars.

Tell me, can you explain to me how Dollars come into existence and how they are taken out of existence? Indulge me, let's see if you can teach me something new about how this game is played. I am willing to invest my time to learn if you are willing to invest your time in teaching me and others here.

            Sapiens,
My initial reply to you was en effort to get you to expand on your original assertion that Poom is not in the cards. Would you please do so and answer your own questions above for my and others benefit as I believe they are in some way related.

Perhaps, you've misunderstood my view, as I concur that it is a rigged game. The system is not in the interest of a free people, and I would not be loathe to see it reworked. Fiat currency coupled with legal tender laws, and a privileged position for the banking system in fractional lending based on pseudo-reserves is the general recipe for rigged game IMO. I am not in support of such a system with any of the 3 above attributes.

I'm surprised that the charade continues in light of what's happened in the past 3 months. How anyone can view what is going on as anything but a pure CONfidence game is beyond me (take for instance a month or so ago when so many of the world's governments came out and said they were each going to "back stop" their systems -patently absurd, where will each country get/borrow the money if every country needs a lender?; or the Feds latest revelation that it will buy long term treasuries). The gilded cage is tipping over the precipice. I would hope we would all decide to get out and push rather than preserve our fantasies of "wealth" (read: stuff) through consumption.

Back to my example, a man and family working and harvesting the land to feed themselves, and barter with their fellows in their community is neither a debtor of creditor until we wants to be. Asset inflation, coupled with relatively high taxation on labor, and compulsion to accept bonars for all debts makes everyone effectively a debtor or creditor in the system.
