  • Dazzled by the fireworks?

    Without prejudice boys and girls,

It has been fun watching all the fizzle and dazzle of Wall Street.

Now you must prepare for the incoming implosion of local municipal governments. I guestimate it should be about two years before the local governments capitulate and really start to feel the pain, in the mean time protect your capital and keep it well hidden. Otherwise you may find yourself reeling from the pain that the Taxman may unleash on you while they are forced to downsize.

    Cheers,

    -Sapiens

    A spiritu fornicationis,
    Domine, libera nos.
From the lightning and the tempest,
    O Lord, deliver us.
From the scourge of the earthquakes,
    O Lord, deliver us.
    From plague, famine, and war,
    O Lord, deliver us.

From the place of ground zero,
    O Lord, deliver us.
From the rain of the cobalt,
    O Lord, deliver us.
From the rain of the strontium,
    O Lord, deliver us.
From the fall of the cesium,
    O Lord, deliver us.

From the curse of the Fallout,
    O Lord, deliver us.
    From the begetting of monsters,
    O Lord, deliver us.
From the curse of the Misborn,
    O Lord, deliver us.
    A morte perpetua,
    Domine, libera nos.

    Peccatores,
    te rogamus, audi nos.
    That thou wouldst spare us,
    we beseech thee, hear us.
    That thou wouldst pardon us,
    we beseech thee, hear us.
That thou wouldst bring us truly to penance,
    te rogamus, audi nos.

Big wars never start on the sharp downslope of an economic crisis/panic.

They always start on the recovery path after a sentiment of confidence has been achieved at the level of the population.

Only civil wars (and sometimes small limited invasions) start on the down slope. For example look at the history of China ;)

It a matter of war theory.

I think you need to attach a time period to this statement.

The 100 years war, the Crusades, Troy, et al all had nothing to do with economic crisis/panic.

Religion, nationalism/expansionism, and military superiority are only a few of the reasons in addition to economics which start wars.
