IRS RESPONDS WITH RASH OF INDICTMENTS, GAG ORDERS AND FORMS "TAXDEF" TASK FORCE IN DESPERATION!!
The IRS is feeling the heat TA and its allied organizations have been generating and it is reacting by ramping up its criminal prosecutions, pursuing more abusive 6700 'gag order' suits and now it has called in all other agencies to assist in harassing and obstructing the flow of the truth. It seems that every week brings news of another indictment or another suit claiming that telling the truth about the tax law is an "abusive tax shelter". Orders to turn over membership lists have provided a new source of "usual suspects" and the IR"SS" brown shirts are storming patriot households with administrative and criminal actions. Even the post office is getting involved, recently freezing mail to TA coalition member Free Enterprise Society offices.
This response means that we are doing exactly what we need to be doing because the squadron getting the most flak is always the one over the target. They aren't afraid of us in court because they own the courts, but they are terrified of what we are now doing, going to their ultimate worldly court, the People.
Truth Attack has opened fronts on their flank and rear, their lies and myths, where they have no teeth, no talons, no way to strike back, because in a 'truth fight' they are empty-handed. This is exactly why TA stresses that you do not need to take the beast on in its cave by refusing to file or trying some filing method to defeat the tax. It can hurt you in the cave but it cannot do anything to you for telling others the truth, for exercising your God-given right to free speech to reclaim your God-given right to earn a living—to keep the fruits of your own labor.
So, what do we do? They're squirming and squealing just from our initial efforts, so let's turn up the heat some more and see if they can turn their heads 360!!

AND YOU CAN HELP MAKE THIS COUNCIL A SUCCESS
The beast is on the run, it's beginning to tremble and sweat, and that means it's time to charge forward.
Patriots have been fighting the growth and expansion of our bloated, power crazed federal government for years, but just as Thomas Jefferson warned, the giant continues to grow and increase its power at the expense of our liberty. And just as it was obvious in "Jaws" that "We're going to need a bigger boat", it is obvious that we need all the help we can get, especially now that we are organized and taking action.
We know that forcing the IRS to obey the law, to cease applying the income tax to those who are not liable for the tax, is not going to make the federal government withdraw within its Constitutional confines. But we also know, and the rest of the Freedom Movement knows, that when we can succeed in doing so it will advance the entire movement a huge step forward, gain millions of grateful supporters and force Americans to accept the fact that our government cannot be trusted. All issues, taxes, gun rights, religious freedom, states' rights, and on and on, benefit from every success in every quarter because the Freedom Movement is strengthened and the government is weakened.
We also know that if we and the rest of the Freedom Movement continue to fight as we have been fighting the government will continue to grow stronger and we will continue to grow weaker, continue to fail and lose ground, the government marching on and over our rights, trampling them underfoot. The government has united its many agencies in its efforts against us, forming "Tax-Def". It is way past time for the Freedom Movement to do the same, what the Tax Honesty Community has already done—curl its easily broken fingers into a formidable fist.
We have to change what we do to change the result we get and that is where TA's AMERICAN LIBERTY COUNCIL 2008 comes in. Truth Attack is inviting all verified Freedom Movement organizations we can find to send representatives to Houston, Texas, on October 11, 2008, where TA will for the first time present its comprehensive plan to put the government back in its box—ONE TENTACLE AT A TIME. This plan begins with the unification of the Freedom Movement and its fighting not only together, but smart. This is no time for the Ted Mack Amateur Hour.
The general concept is very simple. Imagine a playground where a gang of bullies is abusing and terrorizing the rest of the kids. The children are helpless because the gang is stronger and bigger than they, but if some of those kids can join forces and single out one of the bullies, they can beat the daylights out of him. Other kids seeing this happen will become emboldened, excited about the successful ejection of the bully, and join forces with the initial group. Larger, stronger, they then single out another bully for similar treatment, then another.
None of the groups, most confining their efforts to a single issue, are strong enough to take on and defeat the federal gang of bullies, but united, acting according to a well-reasoned and well-executed plan, a unified Freedom Movement can defeat one of the bullies, starting with the government's Rottweiller, the IRS and its illegal application of the income tax to working families and households.
That accomplished, the new 'gang' in town, the People, encouraged by success and reinforced in number, the government's credibility and financial resources clipped, we pick out another bully, the Federal Reserve—then we restore sound money—then take out the alphabet soup, ATF, DOE, and so on. By this time the Freedom Movement will involve almost every kid on the playground and we will have the political means to purge Congress, replacing the usurpers with more Ron Pauls until Congress once again looks to its people for ways to serve, rather than for ways to rule, its master, the people.
BUT: Until the last tentacle is crammed back into the box and the box securely nailed shut, none of our rights is safe and the job remains unfinished. That is why the Freedom Movement MUST act as one, because every right is precious and every tentacle is a threat, capable of destroying any and all of our rights.
What you can do to help
Truth Attack has assembled a mailing list of over 500 organizations and members of what is left of the free media. Almost 200 of those organizations are veterans' groups that want in on the fight to restore what they have already sacrificed much to preserve. AVIDD, American Veterans in Domestic Defense, a coalition of veterans' organizations headed up by Jim Cabaniss, who has been a tremendous help in making this Council happen, has put all its weight behind the Council.
Ron Paul has expressed his support for the Council's concept and plan.
But there are many, many more organizations out there who need to receive an invitation to this historic assembly of all the "tribes".
If you know of any such organizations please send us a note with as much information on them as you can, web sites, contact persons, their issues and—very important—their mailing addresses, so we can verify them and issue an invitation to them. You can also help with the financial burden of hosting this Council. TA is keeping the registration fee at a minimum in order to encourage as many groups as possible to participate and it is more likely than not going to end up in the red. That expense is, no doubt, a very worthwhile investment. So, if you can, please contribute something toward our investment.
