    Re: Sapiens signing out.

So sorry to hear that, Sapiens. Whatever the next step is in your journey, I'm sure you will embrace it with the brash individualism that we have come to know and love. Your memory will live on in the hearts and minds of many of us here at iTulip.

You are very generous to share this with us, virtual friends yet still strangers. I hope the rest of your time here is a comfort to you and your family. Godspeed to the next phase of your journey.

Alright my fellow iTulipers, Sapiens’ time to go is here.

Finally my heart has given out, and it is in stage 4 failure, lungs filling up with fluid which makes living quite a chore.

It has been a fun trip and I have passed the torch onto my children.

See, that’s the thing, just when it gets interesting the body degrades and fails.

This is not an easy post to make for sure, but I hope I have contributed to make your life a little better.

Give the Usurers hell for me, and take care of yourself and teach your children well.

With all my love to you and yours,

            -Sapiens

It is very sad to read this. We may have not agreed on several subjects, but the controversy and mutual exchange has done a lot to help investigate and enrich the arguments. Surely you will be missed, at the end, we all will be following that path. Jaime Sabines said that death was invented so that life - not either of us - life will be eternal.

Thanks for the exchange, thanks for the disagreement, thanks for being you.

              Farewell from the old Anahuac.

Sapiens, May God bless you and comfort you. I truly enjoyed the philosophical / spiritual side to iTulip you presented. I wish you all the best.

We have been unable to confirm this note as emails to Sapiens' registered address have gone unanswered but we have to assume at this point that in fact our friend Sapiens has passed on.

Some form of official iTulip ceremony is needed to acknowledge the generous contributions Sapiens made to our community over the years and the loss we have suffered as a result of his passing. All and any ideas gratefully accepted.

                      Re: Sapiens signing out.

How about an annual "Sapiens Award" given to the iTuliper with the contributions having had the most impact. And/or a "Sapiens" thread for commentary germane to his areas of interest.

FRED, I suggest that on Dec. 18, 2010 (the 1st year anniversary of Sapiens last post) we post a "tribute to Sapiens" on iTulip's front page in remembrance.

Also, at 3:14am that day (Dec.18/10), we should observe a "virtual" minute of silence (no posts are made/can be made on iTulip), in recognition of Sapiens outstanding contribution.

I volunteer to work on a draft of the "best of" Sapiens (either video or written article, I am unsure), which I will then submit in advance for members feedback and input.

That is an awesome idea BiscayneSunrise!

We can simply at the end of the year set up a poll and voila!

I appreciate the spirit of your offer, LW. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Again on another thread Sapiens contribution improves the life of an iTuliper with MS, 18 months after he signed off.

Well, this is sad. I did not know Sapiens well at all, but my condolences to him. I had no clue he had passed away.
