You combine this fact with our reliance on imports and just-in-time distribution networks, and you realize that even a small revolution that was easily crushed would have serious consequences beyond the loss of the combatants.

The segregation of military arms from the people hasnt stopped an effective insurgency from taking hold in Iraq & Afghanistan. You can only carpet bomb civilians for so long before even the weak ones will begin to resist.

It will happen when people realize they have lost everything they own with no chance of recovering their assets and wealth in their lifetimes (or even their childrens). As long as the oligarchs and banksters are able to effectively cover up the fraud and rampant theft, then the public can be coddled back to sleep. But once the deception becomes undeniably evident, that's when the revolt will *truly* begin.

I also belive that they have little time left before their escapades are exposed in broad daylight (see the momentum gaining on the resolution to audit the Federal Reserve --HR 1207) and you'll see that the time of hiding their crimes is drawing to a close. Only time will tell whether the public reverts to the rule of law, which is practically non-existent given that it allows all of this to take place at all, or whether they revert to some brutal and violent street justice. At this point, all I can see happening is the latter and I hope they realize and fear this because maybe that will make them act a little more honest and accept responsibility for the economic havoc they have, and are actively, causing.

VICTORVILLE, Calif. -- Ever since it became clear that Barack Obama would be our next president, there's been an unprecedented run on guns 'n ammo in America. Partly this is fueled by fears, some justified some not, that Obama will outlaw a broad range of assault weapons; partly it's fueled by socioeconomic factors, racism and right-wing hate.
Nowhere is this phenomenon more evident than in Victorville, a desert exurb of Los Angeles that boomed faster with the subprime craze than just about any city in the country and fell harder when it all collapsed. Today, guns and ammo are in short supply here in Victorville. But there is an abundance of despair and paranoia.
