If and when we get our Argentina moment, it will stun the sheeple. How many will say: "I didn't see that coming"
But in a macro level how could it not be an age of anxiety. Here are some reasons I can come up with:
More people alive than all of history up until now.
Mass extinction of chunks of the biosphere.
An aging western population with some cultures below replacement rate.
A technological earthquake equivalent to the creation of the printing press or the steam engine displacing nearly all forms of work.
A society that consumes more than it makes. Mostly forgot how to make stuff. But all the while suffocated with social cues to consume more than it needs.
A system based on the impossibility of infinite growth.
Fiat everything you own but your health and hugs.
