BTW, Dodd is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
If he was a pitcher he would not throw easy pitch, he would walk to the batter and hold the ball in front of him.

Seriously, it seems the truth is starting to make itself known. May the trickle become a flood.
Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Re: Jen Bunning Goes after Bernanke at today's hearing
Am I the only one who has the impression that not only did that Senator not write that speech, but that he didn't have any idea what it was going to say until the moment he read it?
Also it seems he has the reading skills of a pre-teen.
Too bad, because the speech was powerfully written.

Re: Jen Bunning Goes after Bernanke at today's hearing
I noticed it but don't thing it indicates anything much - some kind of minor tic or reading difficulty.
What struck me as significant was the trembling / warbling effect in Bernanke's voice. I think I've noted it before but not as much as this time.
On the most important point Bunning raised, of Bernanke never being able to see bubbles, of being a worse bubble-blower than Greenspan, of wanting on many occasions to go further than Greenspan wanted, of being a blinkered, philistine, pig-ignoramus[*], Bernanke had zero comment.

Re: Jen Bunning Goes after Bernanke at today's hearing
Bunning is a very controversial figure in the Senate, apparently not one for niceties and protocol. He doesn't get along well with other Republicans which is a plus as far as I'm concerned, since he's definitely not a "go along, get along" type who follows Mitch McConnell. Being 78 years old might explain his delivery of this speech.
Bunning isn't very popular in Kentucky and has received no help from the National Republican establishment with fundraising.
He says he won't run for re-election in 2010. I think what he said to "Bubbles" Bernanke was right on.;)

Bunning is probably too far to the right to appeal to 55% + of the electorate in a national election. But his attitude is desperately needed in the US today with the frauds and whores running our government.
Since Bunning is not a sell-out perhaps that's one big reason he's had trouble raising campaign funds.
