The Dec 13, 2001 Pakistan state sponsored attack on India's Parliament House should have been more than enough to dispel any doubts, but that very telling incident was lost on much of the western world in the aftermath of 9/11 and run-up to war in Iraq.

Keep an eye on Egypt. It has the potential to become a bigger concern with more important implications than any attack on Saudi oil facilities or a revolution that displaces the House of Saud...

Canada closes Cairo embassy over security fears

Canada has shut its embassy in Cairo due to "security concerns", a day after the UK closed its own diplomatic mission in the Egyptian capital.

It is not clear if Canada's measure is linked to a video in which a man believed to be a Canadian militant urges attacks against his home country...

...A message posted on the Canadian Cairo embassy website reads: "The ability to provide consular services may occasionally be limited for short periods due to unsettled security conditions." No other details have been given to explain the closure.

The British embassy in Cairo was first shut down on Sunday and remains closed amid ongoing fears over security, the Foreign Office says...

...The IS video released on Sunday features a Canadian fighter identified as Abu Anwar al-Canadi, according to Site Intelligence Group, which monitors extremist activity online.

Canadian media have identified him as John Maguire, an Islamist convert from near Ottawa. They said he was reportedly under investigation after travelling to Syria to join IS in January 2013.

In the video he urged Muslims to follow the example of the recent attacks in Canada.

        Interesting.

The diplomatic closures in both Egypt and Iran means having to lean more on Canada's embassy in Turkey. Another country that is changing direction.

Well we've had a brief respite, but seems things should be back on track in this regard as we head into 2016

Either Hilary or Jeb would do it.

28 years of Bush/Clinton pseudo choice would be nearly the same as the 30 years of Mubarak in Egypt, who came close to pulling a Cuomo/Daley/Bush, and nearly got his son in to replace him before the Arab Spring hit.

We seem to be little better than the illegitimate we prop up.

The parallels are remarkably more similar than one might wish:
